Last month marked the start of the four European Citizens’ Panels, a central aspect of the Conference activities, which allows 800 randomly selected citizens to directly participate in the Conference process and debate on the future of Europe. Two more sessions will follow each of the four Panels to agree on concrete recommendations, which will be delivered to the Conference Plenary.
After the first round of the European Citizens’ Panels and ahead of the Conference Plenary at the end of October, this edition of Conference Conversations will discuss the role of citizens within the Conference and the link between the Panels and the Plenary. How did the first sessions work and what were the results? Do the topic streams adequately cover the cluster issues? How are citizens connected to the Plenaries, and how effective can their contribution be?
We look forward to discussing these and other questions online with you on 18 October
